Coach. Entrepreneur. Mum.

From founding a female-oriented events and marketing business, providing consultancy for brands such as Coutts & Co., Harvey Goldsmith and KPMG Private Equity, to holding senior roles within the marketing and charity sectors, I’ve spent my working life committed to and passionate about supporting women to define and reach their goals.

It’s important to me that my career remains a priority and works alongside my personal life. When I was considering having a family - and then was lucky enough to become a mum - I found myself returning to the same questions:

Who am I now and what do I want?

How am I going to do this - have a career I love, and simultaneously be a great mum, wife and friend?

I was determind to make it work, to find a personal and professional balance that worked for me and my family. I needed to get to the core of what i wanted, learn about what was holding me back (guilt, time, imposter tendancies, hormones) and build strategies to enable me to comfortably have a successful career alongside being a loving and present mum.

I found a way forward that is both incredibly fulfilling, and allows me to be the best version of myself as a coach and as a mum.

I am determind to empower women to do the same.

I founded Caroline Whitmey Coaching because I wanted women, no matter their ambition, to know that they can.

I get it. I know first-hand what it’s like to pursue a successful career but feel restricted or at a loss with how that can work alongside your personal life – from the pressures of juggling motherhood and family, to the impact of women’s health issues such as perimenopause.

Through the coaching process I encourage women to look behind the brave face and find a way forward that works for them – where whatever life change they are facing can work alongside their professional ambitions.

I am a fully accredited International Coaching Federation Certified Coach, and pride myself on being approachable, fun, and warm, yet comfortable to challenge and hold you to account where relevant. I approach my work with energy, intuition, and openness, and practice a fluid coaching style, rather than following one set model or body of work, which allows me to adapt my coaching to your own unique needs.

Outside work, I relish any opportunity to go for dinner and, to balance this out, enjoy a daily fix of Pilates. I’m at my happiest when walking anywhere with open space.

I found working with Caroline to be extremely solidifying from the ground up. Prior to our meeting I had been on a journey of acknowledging perimenopause symptoms and their impact and trying to find some balance to what had become very unsteady feelings. This had become such a focus, coping with change with a young family, and somewhere on that journey I had forgotten some of the other things about me, my experiences, my commitment, my drive, my passions. Speaking with Caroline helped me to navigate a wider landscape of me and find memories and experiences to be proud of, and to reuse these for a new chapter. I feel calmer, more focused, reassured and more forgiving and it’s reflected in all my roles at work and at home. Thanks Caroline for your wisdom, clarity and humour!
